The Federal Government has declared Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, 2025, as public holidays in celebration of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha.
This was announced on Monday by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in an official statement issued on behalf of the Federal government on Monday.
Tunji-Ojo also urged Nigerians to use the festive period to pray for peace, unity, and prosperity across the nation.
He further reassured citizens that the ongoing people-centered reforms under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda are aimed at putting Nigeria back on the path to progress.
Wishing the Muslim community a joyful and peaceful Eid celebration, the minister called on all Nigerians to support the administration’s efforts to restore the country's greatness.
