The Nigerian Army has recorded another significant operational success with the rescue of eleven kidnapped victims during a late-night operation along the Kaduna–Abuja Expressway corridor.
According to a statement shared on the Nigerian Army's Facebook page on Tuesday, the operation took place on 26 January 2026.
The statement added that the troops leveraged high-definition, long-range CCTV surveillance to detect the suspicious movement.
Upon confirmation, a coordinated interception was immediately launched, demonstrating a high level of tactical precision and real-time intelligence fusion.
A swift, high-speed pursuit involving tactical vehicles and motorcycles overwhelmed the criminals, forcing them to abandon their captives and flee into the surrounding scrubland.
The operation led to the successful rescue of five adult males, three adult females, and three children.
The victims had been held in captivity for 92 days following their abduction from Gada Mallam Maman Community on 26 October 2025.
The rescued individuals have since been secured and are receiving appropriate care, while efforts are ongoing to track and neutralize the fleeing suspects.
This latest success underscores the Nigerian Army’s effective integration of modern surveillance technology with agile ground operations.
The Nigerian Army reaffirm the military’s resolve to protect lives, secure critical transportation routes, and deny criminal elements freedom of action at all times, day or night.
