First Lady Oluremi Tinubu on Saturday joined millions of Nigerians in celebrating the Super Falcons’ thrilling victory at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The Nigerian team staged an incredible comeback on Saturday night in Rabat, Morocco, defeating the hosts 3–2 before an electrified home crowd to claim the coveted trophy.

Mrs. Tinubu shared photos of herself jubilating after the final whistle, reflecting the nationwide euphoria that greeted the Falcons’ historic win.

In a post on her X handle, the First Lady hailed the victory as both remarkable and commendable.

“This triumph is not just another trophy but a testament to your hard work, consistency, and the indomitable Nigerian spirit," she noted.

She wrote, “I celebrate you, our beautiful and lovely Super Falcons for the landmark victory of your 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations championship.

“Your resounding 3-2 victory is indeed remarkable and commendable. It is not just another trophy; it is a testament to your hard work, consistency, and the indomitable Nigerian spirit. We thank God for this sweet victory.

“You have once again lifted the pride of our dear nation, Nigeria, and cemented your place as Queens of African football.

You have written your names in gold and inspired millions across the continent.

“Congratulations, Super Falcons! I celebrate you. Nigeria celebrates you.”

Nigeria’s Super Falcons have once again underlined their supremacy in African women’s football, lifting the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations trophy for an unprecedented 10th time.

Renowned for their resilience and unyielding spirit, the record champions delivered yet another stunning performance to secure the coveted crown.

Their 2024 campaign, tagged “Mission X,” captured the ambition and determination to achieve a historic 10th title — a mission they embraced with focus and executed with brilliance.
