Abba, flight Lieutenant killed onboard Nigerian Air Force, friend mourns

Eric Patrick

A good friend to Flight Lieutenant Ibrahim Adamu, also known as Abba, Capt Puffer, has called for prayers for his late friend who’s attacked by bandits alongside his colleagues who were in the Nigerian Air Force MI-171 helicopter crash on Monday at about 1.00 pm near Chukuba Village in Niger State.

Puffer sharing a photo of the late Adamu on X formerly called Twitter said, “If you’re reading this, kindly say a prayer for Fl. Lt. #Ibrahim29618876 & his colleagues, who paid the ultimate sacrifice in keeping us safe from marauding terrorists.

“He’s the Pilot onboard the helicopter that was shot down by terrorists in Niger State during a CASEVAC mission.

“In Abba, we’ve lost a brother & friend; an in-law & family man. He’s a very fine, cool-headed, religious, dedicated young officer. To know Abba is to love him, through & through. If there’s a cap for the phrase “perfect gentleman”, it would fit Abba, effortlessly.

“Very unlike him, I’ve lost count of how many times Abba flooded his status with his photos lately. Unbeknownst to us, the consummate gentleman of good & enviable character was bidding us goodbye.

“May Allah forgive his sins & accept his soul as a martyr. May He comfort all the patriots’ loved ones & bless what they left behind. The ephemerality of life! This minute we’re here; next minute, gone. This one hurts… so deeply! ”

The Nigeria Air Force said the MI-171 helicopter was on a casualty evacuation mission before it crashed.
